Overview of API Keys

There are two ways to use API keys in ChatLabs:

1. Paid ChatLabs accounts: By default, ChatLabs uses AI Services API keys with usage limits based on your subscription plan. These keys are securely managed by ChatLabs and ensure a seamless experience and are not available to users for direct usage.

2. Your own API keys: If you provide your own API keys here, ChatLabs will use them instead. This option lifts the plan-based limitations but requires you to manage your own API usage and billing with the respective providers.

Choose the option that best suits your needs and usage patterns.

How to set up your own API keys

1. Launch ChatLabs

2. Open Profile Settings located in the bottom left corner.

3. Pick the API Keys section

4. Enter your keys
