No, you don't need a ChatGPT account. You can sign up and start using ChatLabs right away.

What is the relationship between ChatLabs and Writingmate Chrome extension?
Writingmate Al Google Chrome extension is a complimentary product. Pro & Ultimate plans include access to both ChatLabs and Writingmate Chrome Extension. Premium Writingmate subscription does not include access to paid features of ChatLabs.
How does paid subscription for Writingmate chrome extension work in ChatLabs?
Pro & Ultimate plans include both Writingmate Chrome Extension and ChatLabs. Premium Writingmate subscription does not include ChatLabs.
Does ChatLabs have message limits?
ChatLabs provides three plans: Bring Your keys, Professional, and Ultimate. Each plan has different restrictions on message limits. If you are looking for completely unlimited experience we recommend purchasing BYOK plan and provide your own API Keys.

What is the Bring Your Own Keys subscription plan?
The BYOK plan allows you to connect your API keys from any Al models supported by ChatLabs. A list of supported models can be found above.
The BYOK plan is suitable for those who are already using their own keys and seeking straightforward chatbot interface, advanced privacy and security. By activating the BYOK plan, you get access to the ChatLabs chatbot, as well ability to use the Prompt Library, upload, store, and interpret your files, create your own Al assistants, and use built-in ones.

Do I need my own OpenAl/Anthropic/Gemini API keys?
No, you don't need tour own API keys if you subscribe to Pro plan. You can use your own keys with "Bring your own keys" subscription.

Yes, you can use your own keys with "Bring your own keys" subscription plan.
How can I use a custom model with ChatLabs?
You can specify custom model in the model configuration tab by providing OpenAl compatible credentials.
